Making sure your vehicle’s belts are in good working condition is important. They help the engine to run smoothly so the power can be distributed throughout the vehicle. While sometimes you can see if there is an issue with the belts, other times you may not be able to notice anything. It is always best to bring your vehicle in so we can take a look at everything with it, that way we can help to prevent issues that may occur down the road. By going to your regularly scheduled visits you can make sure your vehicle is maintained properly so if a belt shows cracking or wear, it is minor in convenience and cost.

The timing belt allows the vehicle to operate correctly and safely. This usually causes major damage to the engine. The serpentine belt powers the air conditioning compressor, power steering pump, cooling fan, and several others. When the serpentine belt breaks, all of the parts that the engine power will stop.

If you notice that there is a squealing or other noise coming from under the hood, it is always best to call us or stop in. If a belt slips or breaks, waiting can possibly cause damage to your vehicle. Your power steering can stop working if a belt slips or breaks. Also, your engine can lock up if the belt comes off at any point in time. Belts can also break down with excessive heat, mileage, or age. Having regularly scheduled maintenance performance is an excellent way to make sure all the belts are in good working order. We can inspect the vehicle and the belts for you to help ensure the vehicle is working efficiently.
